Abstract:
The coordinated development of agriculture in the Chengdu-Chongqing double-city economic circle is a crucial driver for rural revitalization, agricultural modernization, and the implementation of the agricultural power strategy. This study reveals that the grain and oil industry dominates the agricultural sector in the Chengdu-Chongqing region. In recent years, the output of vegetables and fruits has increased, strengthening the agricultural economy and boosting residents' income. New agriculture-related industries and innovative business models have emerged, effectively integrating the three industries, achieving notable progress in green development, and enhancing the development of rural characteristic industries. However, challenges remain in terms of agricultural coordinated development. These include administrative system barriers, limited policy implementation, significant isomorphism in the agricultural industry, a sharp decline in cultivated land, ecological damage, delayed regional brand integration, a shortage of agricultural professionals, limited high-quality agricultural development, insufficient coordination of agricultural science and technology, and the need for improved coordination mechanisms for factors and resources. In light of these challenges, this study proposes breakthrough ideas, including coordinated formulation and implementation of agricultural policies, coordinated development of agricultural industrial planning, coordinated advancement of agricultural green initiatives, coordinated creation of agricultural brands, coordinated development of agricultural talents, and coordinated progress in agricultural science and technology.
