Abstract: In recent years, research travel in colleges and universities has become a new emerging hot topic. This paper begins by sorting out the research and development status of research travel in colleges and universities at home and abroad, and judging on characteristics and high-quality resources of colleges and universities in Jiangxi province. Then, it clarifies the five themes: science and technology, culture and education, art, management and ecology that should focus in the development of research travel resources in colleges and universities in Jiangxi province, and refines five major developments principles: localization, branding, gradation, integration and linkage. Finally, the paper puts forward some corresponding countermeasures from the four perspectives: territorial boutique development, gradient key development, multiple compound development and hierarchical linkage development.
