Abstract:
Pure electric vehicles have restricted their further development due to short driving range and slow charging speed. The extended-range electric vehicle can not only reduce the fuel consumption rate, but also make up for the shortcomings of the short driving range and slow charging of the pure electric vehicle. In order to improve vehicle dynamic performance and reduce fuel consumption, this paper designs logic threshold control strategy for vehicle based on an Extended Range Electric Vehicle which is driven by independent front and rear axles. This strategy controls the engine operating point to work at different optimal fuel consumption points with the change of the vehicle power demand.According to the result of simulation analysis, the engine can work with a relatively low fuel consumption point under different working conditions. In this way, we can achieve a good control of fuel economy.
