Abstract: Mountain disasters such as collapse, landslide and debris flow are the most frequent and harmful natural disasters in Japan. Over the years, Japan has accumulated rich experience in mountain disaster response and management, leading the world in both basic research and prevention and control technology. Based on the existing statistical data, literature and scientific research results, this paper discusses the current research status, application of high technology and future development trend of Japanese mountain disaster in recent years, so as to provide some enlightenment for the research and management of mountain disaster in our country.
