Dynamic Characteristics and Seismic Response Spectrum Analysis of High Pier and Long Span Continuous Rigid Frame Bridges with Corrugated Steel Webs

  • In order to study the self-vibration characteristics and seismic performance of curved continuous rigid frame bridge with corrugated steel webs, the calculation models of curved continuous rigid frame bridge with different webs were established by using MIDAS Civil. And the boundary condition and the excitation angle of earthquake were changed respectively. The results show that the bridge is more flexible and the natural vibration period is longer when considering the effect of pile-soil. When the foundation is consolidated, the vertical stiffness of curved rigid frame bridge with corrugated steel webs is decreased, while the lateral stiffness is increased. Under different constraint conditions, the vibration mode of concrete bridges is consistent, so the influence of boundary condition on the curved frame bridge with corrugated steel webs is obvious. With the change of the seismic excitation angle, the value of bending moment and shearing force of controlled section along the bridge decrease firstly and then increase, while in transverse direction is opposite. The values of moment and shearing force in transverse bridge reach the maximum when the excitation angle is 90 degrees. It is concluded that the seismic performance of curved rigid frame bridge with corrugated steel webs is good.
