Calibration of Small Low-Speed Open Direct Flow Wind Tunnel

  • The flow field quality of the wind tunnel is the main indicator for wind tunnel design, and it is also the main basis for designing various wind tunnel tests. According to the "High-speed wind tunnel and low-speed wind tunnel flow field quality standard", a low-flow DC wind tunnel flow field independently designed by Xihua University was comprehensively calibrated through the tests of equipments such as hot wire anemometer, seven-hole probe, pressure scanning valve, and so on. The wind tunnel flow field measurement results show that the output frequency of the inverter has a good linear proportional relationship with the wind speed of the test section. The dynamic pressure stability and uniformity of the airflow are ideal. The turbulence is less than 1%, and the airflow declination is less than 0.5°. The development of the wind tunnel meets the requirements, and it can meet the needs of scientific research and teaching experiments. The relevant wind tunnel design parameters and calibration methods can also be used for the design and calibration of the same type of wind tunnel.
