Research Progress on Pumping Performance and Internal Flow of Disc Pump

  • Disc pump has good performance when pumping fluid in some situations. Compared with other types of pumps, the research on the disc pump started late and the design theory is immature. The development history of the disc pump was summarized. The structural characteristics of the disc pump were introduced. The research progress on pumping performance and internal flow of the disc pump were expounded. The problems that need to be further studied for disc pumps were analyzed. In the end, it is pointed out that the design and optimization of the disc pump based on fluid-structure interaction analysis is a development direction in the future.
