Abstract
For the fatigued damage of a special flat scroll spring after working 400 thousand times, the stiffness and stress of the spring were analyzed and calculated based on HyperMesh and ANSYS co-simulation finite element analysis in order to calculate the maximum torque and the maximum stress under the torque. The results of finite element calculation and theoretical analysis show that during the working process of the spring, the spring coils contact and the stiffness before contact increases nonlinearly with the applied torque. After contact, the stiffness increases linearly with the applied torque. The maximum stress is located on the inner surface of the middle spring coil. The finite element calculation results of the spring provide a reference for the supplement and revision of the industry standard.
