Research on System Modeling and Energy Management Strategy of Fuel Cell Bus

Abstract
In order to reasonably allocate the energy supply during the driving process of the fuel cell electric bus and improve the economic performance while ensuring the vehicle power performance, a forward simulation model of the whole vehicle of the fuel cell bus was built based on MATLAB/Simulink, and four rule-based energy management strategies were established using state flow and the impact of the strategies on the vehicle economy was investigated. The simulation results show that the proposed four strategies all meet the CHTC-C operating conditions, with the best economic performance of rule 3 based on the switching control strategy, and with an equivalent hydrogen consumption of 6.447 kg per 100 km.
