Research on Lateral Stiffness and Strength of Special-shaped Extension Spring

  • Taken a special-shaped tension spring as the research object, the theoretical calculation of its lateral stiffness is carried out, and the finite element analysis is carried out based on the joint simulation of HyperMesh and ANSYS.The static strength, fatigue strength and fatigue life of the spring are checked. The influence of the position of the pull ring on its strength is studied. The results show that the lateral stiffness of the special-shaped tension spring obtained based on the cantilever beam theory is close to the simulation result, and the theoretical formula can effectively calculate the lateral stiffness of the tension spring.In actual working conditions, the spring meets the requirements of strength and life.The spring pull ring position in the middle is less stressed and more uniform than in the side, which can improve its strength safety factor and service life.
