Research on Fault Classification and Influencing Factors of Low-Voltage Metering Box

  • The low-voltage metering box used in the field may produce many faults that affect the accuracy of metering and the safety of electricity use for operation and maintenance, and may even cause electric shock, fire and other safety accidents. The widespread use of smart meters and the demand for full-coverage collection of electricity consumption information have put forward higher requirements on the analysis and processing of fault data and the evaluation of operation status of electric energy metering boxes. Therefore, this paper carried out the research on the fault analysis and classification method of low-voltage metering box based on a large number of on-site operation data of low-voltage metering box. Firstly, the component criticality assessment method was used to evaluate each component of the low-voltage metering box to confirm the critical components, and then the risk assessment of the critical components was carried out through the failure mode and impact analysis to determine the failure mode and failure phenomenon of the critical components. Then, based on the field operation data of low-voltage metering box, the various types of failures of key components were summarized, and a multi-stress correlation analysis model of low-voltage metering box failures was established according to 12 influencing factors in 4 categories: environmental, mechanical, electrical and other factors, and the correlation analysis of factors affecting low-voltage metering box failures was carried out respectively. Finally, based on the analysis results, suggestions related to the quality supervision of low-voltage metering boxes were put forward.
