Preparation and Properties of Low-gloss and Black Polyimide Composite Film

  • High color gas carbon black as a shading and submicron sized amorphous silica as a matting were used to prepared a series of low-gloss black polyimide films. The effects of carbon black and silica doping on the light shielding, matting, electrical insulation, mechanical properties, and surface morphology of polyimide films were investigated .The results show that the doping amount of carbon black in the black polyimide composite films has the most significant influence on the light shielding and electrical properties, while the doping amount of silica has the most obvious effect on the gloss. The mechanical properties of black polyimide films decrease with the increase of the total doping amount of inorganic fillers and the proportion of large particles. When the doping amount of carbon black is 4% and the doping amount of silica is 5%, the gloss could be controlled at 25 GU, the light transmittance is close to 0, and the films exhibit good mechanical and electrical properties and other comprehensive properties.
