Blockchain-Based Forward Secure Group Signature Scheme

  • Group signatures allow members to sign messages on behalf of a group, ensuring traceability. However, most current group signatures rely on a trusted third party, which have some issues such as single point of failure. Additionally, a trusted third party is often not feasible in reality. To address the issue in group signatures, this paper proposes a blockchain-based group signature algorithm, transferring the role of the trusted third party to smart contracts. Furthermore, a group manager proxy signature scheme is presented, in which the original signature stored on the blockchain as a hash value for verification. Finally, the paper achieves forward security with a security time T = 2^k based on addition, and multiplication schemes. Security analysis and experimental results demonstrate that our scheme offers both security and efficiency.
