Abstract
Microstructure evolution of Ti40 alloy after hydrogenation and dehydrogenation was investigated by XRD, OM and TEM. The result shows no hydride is found in hydrogenated Ti40 alloy because of high solubility of hydrogen in β phase. But boundaries of β phase are deepened and broadened. With the increase of hydrogen content, α phase precipitates from β phase and silicide is detected. After dehydrogenation, phase of Ti40 alloy is similar to original one.
