Effect of Heat Treatment on the Structure and Property of Electroless Ni-P Alloy Coating on Copper Base

Abstract
Electroless Ni-P Alloy Coating on the surface of Copper base was obtained by Electroless plating technology. The structure and property of coating after heat treatment at different temperatures were investigated by means of OLYMPUS、XRD and HVS-1000. Furthermore, the relationship of different heat treatment temperatures with surface morphology, microstructure, hardness and wear resistance was analyzed. The experiments showed that there was an obvious boundary of coating, forming a large number of coherent with Ni high Ni3P hard phase after heat treatment at 500 ℃, and the hardness and wear resistance of the coating were the best, the micohardness and the wear quantity were respectively 1 284 HV and 2.6 mg at this time.
