Isolation and Characterization of Deltamethrin Degrading Strain and Its Degradation Characteristic

  • Strain DXQ018 with high ability to degrade deltamethrin was isolated from tea garden soil contaminated by deltamethrin for a long term. The strain was identified as Acinetobacter calcoaceticus based on the results from its physiological-biochemical characteristics and phylogenetic similarity of 16S rDNA gene sequences. The characteristics of deltamethrin degradation by strain DXQ018 were analyzed. And the results showed that three factors including temperature, initial pH and substrate concentration were the factors influencing deltamethrin degradation by strain DXQ018. The degradation rate could reach 58.27% when the temperature was 37℃, the initial pH was 7 and the substrate concentration was 20 mg/L.
