Design of New Cutter Transmission Mechanism and Dimensional Synthesis Optimization for Small Harvesters

  • For small harvester poor working conditions, requiring compact, high reliability, a new cutter drive mechanism was proposed instead of the traditional space plane Linkage. The author established the mechanism's numerical map by using Harmonic characteristic parameter method. Combined with the parameters of a two-row harvester, new mechanism size synthesis and optimization was completed. The new mechanism was analyzed and compared with the size and force transmission of the standard product pro208. Results show that the size was reduced by 34%, and γmin=68.45° for the new mechanism. The two indicators were superior to that of traditional mechanism.
