The Design of Radar Communication Controller Based on W7100

  • An effective scheme is presented to convert data formats of radar and network, and share radar data. Based on the scheme, a communication controller for radar is designed. It utilizes network Micro-processor W7100 to control serial communication IP AM85C30 in order to convert data format between radar data and Ethernet network data. The speed and packet loss rate of the controller sending/receiving data are tested with the TCP & UDP tools during long-term communication. The experiment results show that the controller can well meet the performance requirements for radar data communication, such as speed, reliability, and so on.
