Shielding Electrode Design of Stator Bushing of 1000 MW Turbo-generator

Abstract
As for stator bushing design, shielding electrode is core. It is very important for the safe operation of the stator bushing that shielding electrode can meet the design requirements. Double-shielded electrode structure of stator bushing of 1 000 MW turbo-generator is designed. The position of the intermediate shield electrode and the grounded shield electrode are changed by use of finite element software for simulation analysis. Thus the maximum of electric field strength are compared at different locations. Then the radius, length and axial location of the intermediate shield electrode and the ground electrode are determined. It effectively improves the over-concentration problems of the electric field distribution near the ground flange. It meets the insulation design requirements of relevant standards. It provides a theoretical basis for shielding electrodes of stator outgoing line bushing of 1 000 MW turbo-generator.
