Traffic Flow Characteristics Analysis of Urban Expressway

By using the real-time traffic flow data collected on three-ring expressway road in Chengdu city, the paper analyzes the traffic flow characteristics and the traffic fitting parameters are obtained based on the fundamental diagram theory and three-phase traffic flow theory. The parameters provide suitable parameter calibration to set up traffic flow model suitable to expressway. The conclusion of this paper can provide reference for setting up traffic flow model to further research.
