Fault Analysis of Brake System based on Bayesian Network Toolbox

  • Automobile brake system is one of the important parts of automobile, it directly affects the safety and reliability of the automobile. In order to analyze the fault, the method of combining BN and FTA was applied in order to avoid the limitation of traditional FTA. A fault tree was built by identifying all the factors of automobile brake system. Then it was mapped into a Bayesian network, which was used to calculate the probability of the fault, and then found out the vulnerabilities of the system and theoptimization design was carried out. The computing analysis results show that the combination of fault tree to Bayesian networks can improve the efficiency of the fault analysis.
