Evaluation Method of Abdomen Arch Disease for Arch Bridge with Medium-Small Span Hollow Type

The existing《Standards for Technical condition Evalution of Highway Bridges》don't evaluate the hollow type arch bridge abdomen arch, pillar's diseases. It enhances the hollow type arch bridge evaluation scores of overall technology condition and the status of the technology level. This results in the maintenance of a bridge ignoring to the disease of abdomen arch, which can not meet the expectations of bridge maintenance. To get a more reasonable overall level of technical evaluation scores and determine the technical conditions, calculation stresses were contrasted between the main arch and abdomen arch from the gravity, pulse excitation, vehicle load and earthquake load and we obtained the reasonable scores deducted for defects of the main arch and abdomen arch. Through study and applications, the more accurate evaluation scores of bridge overall technical condition would be found and this would provide theoretical guidance for hollow type arch bridge maintenance.
