Design on Control Circuit of High Gain DC Converter in Fuel Cell Power Generation System

  • Fuel cell has the features of low level and wide range output voltage. In order to meet the need of DC load or back-stage inverter, steady high-gain DC /DC converter with high level voltage is necessary. The paper analyzed main the circuit topology structure, work principle and the steady-state performance of the single tube high gain quadratic boost converter in frequency domain, and learned that the open loop transfer function has two resonance pointed peaks and system stability is poor. The paper designed a compensation network of control loop to improve the performance. The experiment results show that as for the presented converter, the output voltages are stable in expectations at 50 V, and the simulation output voltage ripple 2 %, and the experimental output-voltage ripple voltage 2.5 %, and the converter efficiency up to 90 % of full load. The results verify the correctness and feasibility of the converter.
