MC33153-Based Design of IGBT Drive Circuit

  • After analyzed the design requirement of IGBT's protection and the driving feature of MC33153, the IGBT drive circuit is designed based on IC MC33153. The drive circuit adopts several ways, such as photoelectric isolation, delay blank and load detection, to hold the functions of short circuit protection and self lock. It not only meets the requirement of the IGBT periphery protection design, but also overcomes the IC lack of internal isolated circuit and protections of blind area and short circuit self-locking. The experiment results show that the drive circuit can drive and protect IGBT effectively.
