Tunnel Health Assessment Based on Cluster Analysis

Abstract
As for the traditional tunnel health evaluation method, the subjectivity and computational complexity are excessive, and the time is consumed too much. In order to solve the problem, the cluster analysis is introduced into the field of tunnel engineering, and a new method of tunnel health evaluation based on cluster analysis is proposed. The clustering analysis is based on the method of data mining. Firstly, the evaluation indexes of tunnel health are preliminary selected and quantified. Then reasonably a diagnosis index system is established with R-type cluster. Finally, the health condition of different tunnel sections is diagnosed through Q-cluster analysis, and the tunnel health grade is obtained. The engineering example shows that the cluster analysis can reflect the actual health condition of tunnel more objectively, and it can be used in the tunnel health evaluation, and it is beneficial to promote the application of cluster analysis theory in the field of tunnel engineering.
