Multidisciplinary analysis approaches are the key to innovation. In both academia and industry, interdisciplinary studies are becoming more and more important. This article is based on the contents of the conference presentation that was held in Xihua University China (China-Japan institute of disaster prevention and risk aversion conference). The presentation introduced four examples that used multidisciplinary analysis approaches. They are environment and business management; environment and food; information technology and information security; population aging and urban planning. Knowledge and methods used in each discipline often have limitations. Effective use of multidisciplinary knowledge and analysis methods can help scholar better understand problems and find potential solutions.
