Abstract
Based on the theory of high density - low temperature combustion, the effect of flow characteristics of Two-stage supercharged diesel on gas system related parameters, mixed process, combustion reaction and emission generation mechanism and the basis of scientific problems are evaluated. Reasonable organization of high density charge in cylinder is not uniformity in time and space distribution state. The atomization and distribution characteristics of diesel fuel are the key to improve the combustion characteristics and emission characteristics of diesel engine. Furthermore, coordinating relations between the ultra-high supercharging technology and the fuel injection strategy, the variable valve technology and the EGR technology is the technical route of the heavy duty diesel engine to achieve efficient clean combustion in the whole working condition range.
