The Selection Study on the Bearings for Highway Oversize Cargo Transportation

  • During the highway oversize cargo transportation, it is easy to make the plate bending deformationwhen the concentrated load on hydraulic flat frame applying to a point is too large. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to determine the reasonable number and optimum position of bearings. In this paper, the oversize cargos are classified as horizontal containers and non-horizontal containers.According to the orthogonal simulation method of three levels and three factors, the number of bearings needed for horizontal container transportation was determined, and the final optimal arrangement was carried out through the result of strain analysis of the vessel and the solution of the support reaction force. The number of bearingsand their placement for non-conventional goodswere determined by the number of vehicle swing axles. In this paper, the transportation of Fischer Tropsch synthesis reactor was selected as an example, and the two methods were combined to calculate and analyze the number and position for the bearings. This study provides a reasonable theoretical basis for the selection of bearings on highway oversize cargo transportation.
