Synergistic Fuel Saving Strategy and Production Application of Vehicle Based on Four Fuel Saving Technologies

Abstract
In order to achieve the target of vehicle fuel consumption, various fuel saving technologies are applied, however if there is no reasonable cooperative control strategy, it will lead to the inability between any two various technologies and between the technology and the whole vehicle control strategy to be fused, and we can't reach the expected fuel saving target. Therefore, this paper first studiesthe influence of the mutual coupling among the switch type pump, the electronic thermostat, the start-stop technology, the intelligent generator and the engine control, then proposes a cooperative control strategy. The strategy was applied to a SUV matching 2.0T gasoline engine. The optimal parameters of the control strategy were decoupled through repeated tests. It gave full play to maximize fuel saving effect after integrated application the four fuel saving technologies were integrated. The test results show that vehicle synergy fuel saving strategy can achieve 2% fuel saving in the NEDC test cycle. The vehicle emission performance, driving performance and start acceleration performance involved in mass production are verified by a test. The fuel saving strategy has strong portability, and it does not need to add any hardware and software, and excavate fuel saving potential from every detail of the NEDC condition. It is worth popularizing to other vehicle development.
