Extended Structure of Optimal Frequency Hopping Sequence Set with Low Hit Zone Based on Chinese Remainder Theorem

  • The design of frequency hopping sequence (FHS) is the core technology of frequency hopping communication system.Finding and designing frequency hopping sequences with excellent performance are important parts of researching frequency hopping communication system. Unlike conventional frequency hopping sequence design, the low hit zone (LHZ) frequency hopping sequence design requires the Hamming correlation function to have a low value in the correlation zone. In this paper, we use the conventional frequency hopping sequence set as the original sequence set, and use the one-coincidence frequency hopping sequence set as the spreading factor, and then give a class of extended low hit zone frequency hopping sequence sets via the Chinese remainder theorem. The new FHS set is the optimal low hit zone hopping sequence set for the Peng-Fan-Lee bound. Compared with the original frequency hopping sequence set, the new FHS set has a larger number of size, more frequency points, longer length, and the maximum Hamming value in the low hit zone is consistent with the original FHS set.The new FHS set can well eliminate multiple access interference in a quasi-synchronous hopping frequency/time division multiple access system.
