Parametric Analysis of Spline Cold Extrusion Process Based on Orthogonal Test

  • In order to ensure the forming quality of the spline and reduce the cost of the mold, the DEFORM-3D software is used to simulate the cold extrusion forming process of the spline.Based on the orthogonal test design, the pressing speed and friction coefficient, and the initial hardness parameters of the die are optimized.The influence of the optimal parameters on the forming load and the wear depth of the die is discussed.The orthogonal test results are verified.The results show that the optimal parameters for forming load and spline die wear are combined to a friction factor of 0.08 and a die initial hardness of 63 HRC, which optimizes the quality of the formed spline and provides a theoretical basis and valuable reference for actual production.
