Abstract:
The basic missions of enterprise social work are to assist employees and their families to cope with the risks of work and life, improve the quality of their work, promote their work welfare and professional well-being, and safeguard the fairness and justice of labor relations. However, the development of enterprise social work is facing practical difficulties currently. Enterprise social work facing the new times covers the following aspects: providing professional services, participating in solving the contradictions between the needs of workers for a better life and the unbalanced and insufficient development, thinking seriously about the new challenges and requirements for enterprise social work brought about by the profound changes in labor relations, occupational welfare connotation and people’s occupational values resulted from the transformation of China’s industrialization from quantity and scale to quality and efficiency and from labor-intensive to technology-intensive, and developing theoretical, knowledge and discourse systems of enterprise social work based on China’s local practice of continuously exploring and developing people’s social welfare in the working world on the basis of theoretical research.
