Abstract:
Disaster is the eternal motif of literature, and each outbreak of disaster in human history promotes literary creation implicitly or explicitly. Novel coronavirus has developed into a global epidemic, which is a huge disaster that mankind has faced together since the new century. The paper points out that confronting the complicated "problem-oriented" reality, people should not only feel fortunate that literature has returned to reality and intervened in reality at this moment, but also think about how to grasp the three important dimensions of individual trauma, collective experience and identity building while giving attention to aesthetics by referring to the writing tradition of disaster literature. Thus, poetic literary language is to be used to artistically present the pluralistic metaphorical relationship between epidemic situation and the fate of society, human beings, ethnic groups and individuals.
