Abstract: Socialist value and socialist system are not fundamentally opposite, nor mutually exclusive, as the two have internal unity. Opinions about value are people's reflection and judgment of values, and systems reflect requirements of values under a certain material lifestyle. The theoretical basis of the unity of socialist values and systems is historical materialism, while the change of values is based on evolution of production mode. Justice embodies the essence of socialism, common prosperity is the basic requirement of socialism, people-oriented is the natural embodiment of historical materialism, and people's all-round development is the value pursuit of socialism. The unity of socialist value and system is rooted in the internal logic of socialism itself. The socialist movement is a movement around socialist values and systems, and socialist values inject reform power into socialist system. The core values of socialism and the socialist system with Chinese characteristics are unified in the practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The political logic of the unity of socialist core values and the socialist system with Chinese characteristics is to build socialist democratic politics.
