Abstract:
In establishing a scientific and standardized psychological correctional system, it is important to know thoroughly how female drug users grew up, what their psychological status are and what factors are involved. By combining the personnel data questionnaire and the SCL-90 symptom self-assessment scale, and based on descriptive method and analysis of variance, the present study takes drug users in a women's rehabilitation center as the research object, aiming to explore the influencing factors of mental health status. The results show that (1) more than 40% of female drug users in the center have bad personal and family relations; (2) Compulsive symptoms are more prominent and accompanied by strong and intense depression, anxiety and other emotions, as well as sleeping- and diet-related problems; (3) Screening test reveals that a high proportion of drug users are at risk in their mental health conditions; the four risk-groups (needing paying attention to; particularly needing paying attention to; specially needing paying attention to; and recommending to pay attention to) ranges from 1.3% to 8.2%; (4) The mental health conditions varies due to differences in ages, years of drug abuse, employment status before entering the Center, times of treatment, status in the Center, age of first drug abuse, HIV infection and other categories. Therefore, it is suggested to set up risk management and control measures according to the characteristics of different risk-groups, and accordingly carry out psychological correction work and establish a diversified supporting system in which the individual, family and community all participate.
