Abstract:
Since the reform and opening up, the scale of private higher education in China has been expanding and has made great development, but at the same time, it also faces risks and challenges, mainly including policy risks and development risks. This thesis focuses on the development risks of private higher education, which are mainly manifested in five categories: strategic risk, market risk, reputation risk, internal governance risk, and legal and regulatory risk. The cause of the development risks of private higher education lies in the contradictory transformation of interest conflicts and interest integration among stakeholders. In order to cope with the development risks of private higher education, a risk prevention mechanism with an operational mode that combines the responsibility subject, key aspects, motivation and safeguard system should be established to solve the problem of implementation.
