Abstract:
On September 28, 2024, the academic symposium on "Data Governance, AI Security Regulation, and Legal Protection" and the 2024 Annual Meeting of Sichuan Law Society Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Rule of Law Research Association were held in Chengdu. The meeting featured the following key issues. Advances in deep learning and natural language processing have significantly enhanced artificial intelligence's capacity to address legal issues, improving legislation costs, judicial efficiency, and adjudication outcome prediction. Structured, standardized legal data offers valuable training material for AI models but demands rigorous privacy and security safeguards due to its sensitivity. To promote lawful and reasonable AI adoption in law, legislative frameworks must establish clear rules and standards. Judicial systems should refine AI-empowered justice pathways to advance from technological credibility to judicial trust. Interdisciplinary collaboration between AI jurisprudence, computer science, sociology, and ethics is crucial to holistically address complex legal challenges and balance technological progress with societal fairness.
