Abstract:
Pound was a pioneer of the Anglo-American modernist poetry movement as well as one of the most controversial poets to Anglo-American critics.From the perspective of cognitive historicism, this paper analyzes Pound's critical history in Anglo-American criticism, summarizes the criticisms of Pound's poetry, poetry theory and poetry translationin Anglo-American criticism circles, and explains the influence of Pound and his critics' social environment and cognitive factors such as personal cognition, limitations of subjective cognitive ability, cognitive generality and cognitive differences on them, so as to avoidcognitive bias caused by "halo effect".
