Abstract: There are many studies of "Adverb+Noun" and "S bi N₁ hai N₂" constructions, but few of which involve coercion between them.Therefore, the coercion of the "Adverb+Noun" construction on the "S bi N₁ hai N₂" construction is analyzed in this thesis at syntactic and semantic levels.The analysis finds that when the "S bi N₁ hai N₂" construction is coerced by the "Adverb+Noun" construction, some information of the latter is inherited or blocked by the former.In syntax, the characteristics of nouns as adjectives, adverb amplifier and part of characteristic of nouns are inherited.In semantics, the characteristic of noun with prototypical meaning is inherited, but its highlighted way is blocked; the characteristic of the adverb amplifier expressing subjectivity is inherited, but its subjectivity is not so strong as the "S bi N₁ hai N₂" construction; the characteristics of antonymy in abstract nouns and nouns referring to people are inherited, but there are more antonyms for the "S bi N₁ hai N₂" construction than the "Adverb+Noun" construction.
