Abstract:
Both the Bachelor of Translation and Interpreting (BTI) education and China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI) are strongly characterized by their professional orientation and emphasis on the development of translators and interpreters' competence. The integration of this test with the Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) education has already been a great success. Meanwhile, the outdated philosophy of some BTI education programs, the limited scope of classroom teaching materials and the monotony of teaching methods make it necessary to integrate CATTI with BTI education.
