Abstract:
This paper measures the industry agglomeration index of China's new energy industry based on 2003-2011 provincial data of 30 regions in China, and empirically analyzes the influence of new energy industry agglomeration on economic growth based on FD-GMM estimation method. The result shows that: (1) The degree of new energy industry agglomeration of Yangtze River Delta region is the highest. The coastal regions such as Guangdong、Shandong and Liaoning come second, and the western region is bottom of the regions; (2) The degree of new energy industry agglomeration is conducive to promoting regional economic growth, that is: the higher the new energy industry agglomeration, the faster the speed for economic development.
