Abstract: Based on a brief account of how the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress has legally established the three national memorial days, the essay stresses the reasons for their establishment as follows: to enrich the memorial activities, to enhance the historical values, to uphold international justice, and to comply with international conventions. Meanwhile, the decision did benefit a lot, for example, remembering the history, cherishing the memory of the martyrs, maintaining peace and creating the future.
