Abstract: Mr Wang Shumin has built his concept about history of literature with his wide range of knowledge and the strength of emendation. He can not only grasp the textual criticism and philosophical connotations of literature based on emendation, and on the basis of the emendation of works to achieve mastery through a comprehensive analysis. Mr. Wang's broad literary ideas and his research methods played a significant role in promoting the academic level of the ancient literary study, in correcting impetuous style of study and fostering a new generation who will engage in literature, textual criticism and theory research.
