Abstract:
The preliminary survey was conducted based on literature review and open questionnaire. 472 college freshmen were selected to complete the preliminary questionnaire. After analyzing the item and exploratory factors of the results, the formal questionnaire was revised and shaped.The formal contains 28 items, including 7 components that are being ambitious or unambitious/mediocre, social or isolate, self-confident or self-abased, undaunted or timorous, internal-needed or economic-limited, internal-needed or time-limited and sex-craved or sex-repressed. And the questionnaires were formally administered to 813 college freshmen, and its reliability and validity was initially analyzed. The results indicate that the contribution rate of accumulative of variance is 60.35% and its factor model fits well. The CITC(Corrected Item-Total Correlation) of this questionnaire ranged from 0.374 to 0.647. Besides, Cloning Bach alpha coefficient, split-half reliability and retested reliability are 0.913, 0.866 and 0.900 respectively.The statistics demonstrates the formal questionnaire will be an effective tool to evaluate mental conflict of college freshmen with sound reliability and validity.
