Abstract:
In recent years, the critical thinking abilities of English majors in Mainland China and its training have aroused great concern of many experts and scholars in the field of foreign language teaching. They have done a lot of research and made certain achievements. This paper firstly analyzes the existing literature on critical thinking abilities of domestic English majors from three aspects: studies on measuring tools, studies on the current situation of critical thinking abilities and studies on critical thinking abilities' training, and then makes a summary evaluation with the hope of providing direction and inspiration for further research.
