The factors contributing to fossilization mainly cover the following: negative transfer of mother tongue, improper application of multimedia, cognitive factors, and environmental factors (NICE for short). And this paper also provides insights into improving fossilization: first of all, we should adopt a correct attitude towards transfer of mother tongue in SLA and make best use of its positive power to promote language acquisition; what's more, with students centered, teachers should make a proper application of multimedia; additionally, teachers should employ noticing strategy to cultivate students' consciousness of language, which can enhance the qualities of input and output in turn and improve fossilization gradually.
