Abstract: "Diet is of great importance", especially when it's involved in the intercultural communication."Yangyu ciba", a symbol for Qiang food and Sichuan tourists' favorite, is a Qiang delicacy in northwest Sichuan. The problems arising from the C-E translation of "Yangyu ciba", which involves feeling of ethnic group, folk legacy, sign transfer, cultural understanding, etc., is not an isolate case and invites deeper thoughts from food providers, tourism industry practitioners, and cultural researchers.
