Abstract:
Country fellow-men relations(Laoxiang) were unique cultural groups derived from the context of Chinese history and culture They are of a nature of regional, cross-border mobility, cultural convergence, cognition on geographical division and other factors, constituting the core factors and external factors of fellow-men social representation. This paper, based on the social characterization theory and the Chinese local research on trust, mainly discusses the relationship between social characterization theory and trust when individuals contact with Laoxiang and non-Laoxiang groups. The differences of Laoxiang and non-Laoxiang on interpersonal trust were the social characterization of Laoxiang can quickly be activated, quickly facilitating the interaction between the groups of Laoxiang. This kind of facilitation will gradually decrease with increase of frequency and time. At this time, the identity of Laoxiang has no obvious advantage than non-Laoxiang in interpersonal communication.
