ESP课程体系视野下地方本科院校大学英语教学衔接模型构建

A Cohesion Model for Local Universities and Colleges English Teaching and Learning in the View of ESP

  • 摘要: 在新时期高等教育国际化的背景下,广大地方本科院校为满足时代需求和学生更高层次英语学习的需求,开始探索ESP课程建设。本文针对地方院校大学英语教学改革中出现的问题与挑战以及地方高校的特点,提出了ESP课程体系视野下的大学英语教学衔接模型。该模型整合通用英语(EGP)、专门用途英语(ESP)和通识教育(EGE)三大课程群,并将各大课程群又分别分为基础级、提高级和发展级三个级别,再根据人才培养的不同层次又分为三大模块,由此构建一个“3+3+3”的循序渐进、动态开放的课程体系,以期对地方高校大学英语教学改革的深化和推进提供参考。

     

    Abstract: Under the background of internationalization of higher education, plenty of local universities and colleges in China have been exploring ESP courses to meet the greater demand of advanced society and students. Referring to the new problems and challenges in the process of the reform on college English teaching and learning (CETL), this paper proposes a cohesion model for CETL of local universities and colleges in the view of ESP, which aims at an integration of EGP, ESP and EGE on college curriculum system. Each curriculum group is divided into elementary, intermediate and advanced levels for three different levels of students. This model in the frame of "3+3+3"is a progressive, dynamic and open system which will provide helpful reference for the further reform of CETL in the local universities and colleges in China.
