Organizational Resilience in Digital Transformation: A Stakeholder Perspective

  • In today's highly volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous (VUCA) environment, it is crucial for enterprises to enhance their organizational resilience to not only withstand adverse trends but also to seize opportunities for growth. Traditionally, studies on organizational resilience have largely focused on singular aspects such as management or supply chain resilience. However, there is a noticeable scarcity of research that synthesizes the views of various stakeholders to develop a more holistic, ecological approach to organizational resilience. This article adopts a structured framework "existing research combing-integration framework-research prospects" to deepen the understanding of organizational resilience. Employing Citespace software, it meticulously analyses core literature within the domain of organizational resilience, with a specific focus on the challenges and opportunities presented by digital transformation. This paper goes on to assimilate the perspectives of different stakeholders to frame a comprehensive research agenda on organizational resilience. This integrated framework seeks to trace the origins and dynamics of resilience within organizations undergoing digital changes, thereby spotlighting avenues for fostering resilient leadership—a critical need in the context of ongoing digital shifts. Conclusively, the findings present a refreshed viewpoint on the settings and prevailing themes surrounding organizational resilience. By unraveling these new insights and focal areas, this research provides a valuable new foundation for enterprises aiming to cultivate resilience in a digitally transforming world.
